DAIRY FARMING
The institute owns close to 50 cows.
The dairy farming is divided into two units - The zero grazing unit and Free range unit.
According to research carried out at the institute zero grazing method has more milk yields than free range. Basing on this, the "milkers" at the institute are all put under zero grazing.
Students look after the two farming units e.g. milking ,feeding and bottle feeding calves.
The products like milk are used for staff and student consumption.
